Angel Sleep started in a chiropractor's clinic in Houston, with a simple question asked thousands of times: what are you sleeping on?
Meet the designer
Dr. Mark Yezak, BS, DC
Dr. Yezak is the founder and clinical director of Houston Spine & Rehabilitation Centers, with clinics in Houston and The Woodlands. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees at Texas Chiropractic College, completed pre-medical studies at Sam Houston State University, and trained further at the Texas Back Institute.
Over his career he has helped thousands of patients recover from injuries and chronic neck and back pain. He developed The Yezak Technique®, an approach that brings together chiropractic care and rehabilitation, and he has authored research papers and professional articles. H Texas Magazine has named him one of Houston's Top Doctors five years in a row, and his work has been featured in Dynamic Chiropractic and Spine-health.
His approach has always been the same: find the cause, not just the symptom. For a lot of his patients, part of the cause was the way they slept.
How we got here
From one pillow to a complete system

The same problem, every morning
Over 30 years, Dr. Yezak treated thousands of patients with neck and back pain, and many had the same complaint: they couldn't find a pillow that actually supported them. The pillows on the market were designed by manufacturers, not by anyone who treats neck pain for a living.

Dr. Yezak worked out a specific density, height, and length through years of trial and error, and started handing it to his patients. About 500 Angel Pillows went home from his clinics before we ever sold one online.

Angel Sleep is family owned and run out of Houston. Part of what we do goes back to the community, through partners like the Hope Center and Special Olympics.

The Angel Sleep System
A pillow supports the neck, and the neck is only the first few inches of the spine. So Dr. Yezak built out the rest of the system: a five-zone mattress with the built-in CloudLift System and a comfort topper, paired with an adjustable base and Angel Pillows, brought together to work from head to hips.
